Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? pictures coming soon, I must say though, it looks a lot more beat now that the tires are not super clean white and with a brake so I may just post the OG pictures that I took. Less paint chips in that one too

Still needs for me to wire up the brake, still needs 700x28 skin/gum/brownwalls (i'm thinking Paselas), still needs me to put my brass bell on. Might need new handlebars...I'm not too sure about these Promenades.

Paselas for sure. Keep the bars, they look sweet. Fenders? Like nice VO or Honjo ones.

[edit] No eyelets for fenders, the ends are beefy, I wonder if you could modify?

Seeing all of these builds is making me jealous.

My rims, hubs, and spokes (all in silver, for my green GB frame) arrived from Harris today. The Harris hubs look really nice (and they're a great bunch of people). I just finished lacing both wheels. I'll tension & true this week.

jonnywill, our builds will be nearly identical when I'm done. I had the same thing planned. 28mm Pasela's, Nitto B617's, all silver componentry, etc...

My frame's black though. And I'll be cutting the promenades down as seen here.

won't be putting fenders on this one, even though it would be appropriate. my Jamie Roy is my fendered bike, and I'm currently doing some reworking on it (700x30 CX tires, gearing down to 42/18SS 42/19Fixed for bad-weather/bad roads/etc, Midge or Randonneur bars, etc).

But yeah, Honjos would look pretty tight.

if you guys wanted to see what the perk was for organizing this thing check it out, tony went to great lengths to get my frame NjS approved. In the end it worked out pretty well.

I've been very close to stripping parts off this for my cross bike which is taking priority, but for some reason I'm having trouble getting myself to do it.... (and yes, I know... the spacers )

Nice, pretty much my exact build colors except I'm doing a black 3T Mutant and gold hubs/seat post and I haven't decided on black or silver bars
