The IRO BFSSFG Build Thread
Too much drama in the other one.. keep this one clean. (photos + build details - mindless chatter)

Sugino RD cranks with Sugino BB. Cane Creek S2 headset (hoping it's better and holds up longer than you'd expect a $15 headset to hold up), some no-name $2 130mm stem and 52cm nashbar moustache bar with parts-bin dia-compe non-aero brake levers. The saddle and seatpost are off on an old bianchi. It's getting some shimano 105 brakes, front and back, cause I'm a wuss and I need both levers for the moustache anyhow. Once I get the brake lever position dialed in, it'll get some bar tape. A brooks saddle and new seatpost are still on the wish list.

I just cannot for the life of me appreciate rims that are any color besides silver, black, or grey. Just a personal preference thing.
My green IRO will have silver components, someday...

Built mine on Sunday. 56 cm Green, going to put blue handlebar tape on it, like the flag of Brazil.

It would look better with a silver quill and levers, but it's what I had in the spare parts bin...I'll get around to it eventually.

Nice..I like the fork swap out from the IRO. Is it light? Stiff?

Ima lock the other thread. Any objections?
In the future, instead of starting a whole new thread just PM me and I'll delete posts like I delete porn from my hard drive so my wife doesn't find it.

That is a great looking bike. Is the brake cable sposed to go that way or is that a mod you made?

all mixed up: blue threaded, white aeroheads to the new f/f somas, whitewalls, campy record cranks/bb, gunmetal grey chain, NOS duraace headset, ttt stem, major taylors, had a silver DA seatpost, but LBS had the wrong diameter marked on it and it didn't fit) -- schwag for now, white specialied team toupe saddle (may go on another bike, looks too new/techy/out of place, we'll see with the new seatpost).
