And, it might not work. RD's have a very strange taper.

say what? i've heard this a few times in the past week, but never prior.

S75s have a strange taper that is between ISO and JIS, but i've never heard that said about the RDs. are you confused?

Sugino BB (68x103mm)
$28.99

SUGINO BB 68x103

The matching bottom bracket for the Sugino RD crankset. A sealed bearing cartridge BB at a good price.

• 103mm length
• Fits 68mm bottom bracket shells
• 1.370" x 24tpi - English threading

I currently have 175mm Sugino RD's that work fine, but the Messenger's slide MUCH further onto the spindle than the RDs do.

The RD2s and RD messengers are the same cranks. Both can be set up for doubles. I think that the "messenger" is in reference to the chainring. Take some "messenger" cranks, and look st the back; they're stamped RD2. Sugino BB is the best bet, although they fit on any jis BB.

RD and RD2 are both JIS.

They both use the same bottom bracket.

The Sugino website lists both, the black and silver as RD2 and shows the same BB for both.
