Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Man while going thru my riding bag today I realized maybe it isn't totally neccessary to carry a crank puller, shimano freewheel remover, 3 identical crescant wrenches, 3 #2 phillips screw drivers, 14 AA batteries, 4 flat tubes, 2 good tubes, 3 different blinkys, and a leather punch.

I gotta stop just throwing everything in there.

iamarapgod, that last sentence you wrote is sooooo true. i decided to live out of my bag for a while, with aaalllll of my tools, lots of clothes, maps, books, cycling shoes... all sortsa everything in my bag at all times.

then my bag got stolen.

i was pretty ****ed. i second your sentiments that you oughtta pack light.
