Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

thats a standard "rope whipping" technique. here is the link on how to tie it:

The chicago wig pads rule. They have a loop at one end that you put your seat post through so no one can easily walk off with it. Not knocking on the diy's out there at all, the wig pad is just nice and clean looking.

Whats inside of the ones that you buy? I've been thinking about making one as well, but not sure what needs to be in them...

I flipped them last week to see where I'd like them chopped. After a few days of riding it, it was pretty nice to have a completely upright position... so now I'm not so sure if i want to chop them anymore

I kinda miss my drops. i wish they made bars where you can be completely upright, have a flatbar, have a bullhorn like position, drop and a TT position. That'd look so cool and it'd probably weigh a ton

this is why i love my pop top stem. i can put my drops on if i'm going for a longer ride and want multiple positions, and i can drop the bullhorns in if i'm just riding around town or i want to bust out some dumb fixed gear tricks.
