Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? A Fair Trade?

I have a pair of Suntour Superbe tubular wheels laced to Sun Mistral rims with Suntour 15t cog and lockring in great condition (used for two seasons on the track). I am in talks to trade for a HF phil wood dble fixed laced to open pros with about 300-400 miles on it. We want to be fair about the trade so is one worth more than the other and if so, what amount should be added to the difference? I don't plan on riding on the track enough to justify having them so I'd rather have a pair of wheels i actually use instead of just sitting and looking pretty.

*what's the high/low value of my wheels?

It is entirely possible that the builder way over tensioned them and those cracks in the picture are a result of an accident but the report of cracking on the non-drive side rear is worrisome as the tension would have to be much much lower there and there was no report of serious trauma.

Given that the superbe pro rings are absolute **** and made with an incredibly weak alloy I wouldn't be suprised if the hubs are too.
