Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

lulz. Only the anonimity of the internet will allow me to admit that I tried that once. Probably the worst idea ever.

Generally, when I'm on my fixed gear bike I'm either dressed for work (dress pants, button-down, and tie) or for riding (the full roadie lycra kit).

Unfortunately, I do not own skinny girl jeans and a white belt.

this thread title alone makes me annoyed

so spandex-fitting jeans are cool for riding, right? when you can barely mount your bike because your jeans are so tight?

gimme a break -- bikes aren't a fashion accessory

MAN, some of you guys are defensive. Look, it's okay that you wear lycra. I promise I'm not laughing at you. You can stop ranting about hipsters and tight jeans and white belts or whatever the hell. It's oh-kay. OK?

i don't get it...don't we all have nicer asses and more protruding bulges in cycling shorts than we ever will in tight jeans.

Only my own comfort levels will allow me to admit, internet or not, that I've shaved that **** for years, and can't fathom having a gross forest of fur hidden behind my pants.
