Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

They have to be joking about the price--- that is expensive for what you get.

Quote: "The Touché may be different
to its competitors but its development was a marked response to the Langster’s
failings without too far overriding it’s price."

...hmmmm...

Hey Langster 2008, did you're mate ever pick up a Pearson? I was curious what he/you think of it now. There's not much on BFSSFG about them. But it's a decent looking bike from the pic's...

It looks good except for the price. I dont think Ive seen a SSFG that comes standard with a carbon fork.
Thats a plus.

Yeah, I think it is a bit over priced too. But, I guess if you were to go off the exchange rate from 2000, the price would be ok.

Overpriced if your buying with American dollars. Probably a bargain in terms or euros, yen or lil barrels of oil.

I think the Van Dessel Country-Road Bob comes with a carbon fork. It's a damn sight better looking than that Pearson bike, too, and cheaper. Ugh. Integrated headsets should be made illegal by UN charter.

The CRB has an internal headset. Van Dessel seems to be doing that with all their bikes, it's a shame really.
