I want to deep six this thread for sucking so bad, but people deserve to know how it ended after all the waiting. It's like a bad movie, as bad as it sucks you still need to see the end.

Whaaaat?!!!!! I can't believe this thread and the OP!!
I read all pages of this thread and wanted to tear out my eyeballs on every page! What the HELL is going on?! First this whole debate about bringing in the 5-0....! Mother**** the PO Lice! They very likely wouldn't have helped you and they actually might even have hindered or hurt your chances of getting the bike back at all,..ever!
@ OP, i Truly hope the way you described yourself is a fabrication. Because if it isn't you are the biggest (muscle, muay thay, extreme bs nonwithstanding) pu**y i ever heard of. I weigh about 70 Kilos and am not particularly strong. I look like am 22 years old despite being thirty. But i would rather ripp out my own spleen before i'd let a bike thief get away with stealing my girls' bike for so long and chance it being lost forever for so long! ** Even if he just purchased it stolen, no matter. It was your girls'! She was ecstatic to get it back -which you very likely knew would be the case- and this is how you handled it?! You are so lucky to have gotten it back again at all with all your inaction and trepidation. It is people like you -waaaay too law abiding- that allows humanity to move ever closer, slowly but inexorably, to a state and society like '1984'.
I could be real mean and say things like:
"Stay away from the 'roids and the alcohol, they make certain bits shrink and obviously dull your wits (leaving the scooter?!!)"
But that would be mean, so i take all that back/don't actually mean that at all.
I am not trying to be a A@@hole but i am trying to say: Get some heart! Show some self respect. No amount of extreme sports will amount to anything if you can not stand up for your rights and justice (which often are NOT necessarily the same as "the law" btw, no matter what drivel some of us might have been fed).
Well, i enjoyed the thread despite the utter frustration and i am truly glad you got the bike back. so for that i commend you. And i agree with all the above i would Really appreciate pics of the bike, the girl and the happiness. The nakedness would be a nice bonus but not counting on that one.
I loved the stolen wheels story! Now that's a self reliant girl with courage and a strong moral compass. I can not think of anything more attractive.
** = And i am not just spouting off. I have faced down a cop twice as wide and a head bigger than me while in custody. I have squatted more than 90 houses for others risking arrest every time. Not because i am a tough guy but because i believe in correcting injustices (such as: that many good people do not have an affordable roof over their head, yet good properties remain empty for years all just to make more cash) and taking matters into my own hands when other avenues are useless.

I wouldn't steal it. I'm just sayin its silly to post your bike and not hers because you are nervous about hers getting stolen.
Although there was this time my roommates bike got stolen, and then we stole it back, and then I saw he locked it up at the grocery store and I threw my lock on it and hid across the street and laughed.
