Buying internationally
Have any of you guys ever bought anything from Japan or any other country in an auction online? I decided to look and have noticed that you can find track frames for next to nothing in Japan.

Yea, I've bought from Hong Kong, Europe and even India off eBay. Never had a problem, and sometimes the shipping rate isn't very different from the inflated prices charged in North America. American sellers always ***** about shipping even as far as Canada, but most international sellers will have no problem, nor should they, shipping to anywhere in the world.
Oh, just don't use surface mail for large items coming from overseas. The price could be ridiculously and curiously low, but with the mess that is shipping (as in "by boat") these days it could sit for more than a month in some container at a port before being cleared for entry.

Ive bought about a dozen NJS frames from yahoo japan. Most of them i bought while living in Japan but ive also bought a couple while living here in the states. Its not hard to work out a way to do it if you dont mind paying 150 bucks extra over the auction price to get it to your door. (fees plus shipping)
You still come out much better than buying from ebay.
