Bikes: raleigh gran prix converted to fixed

nitto rm-019

i've been a fan of the rb-021s for a while, a sloppy mistake lastweek requires some new bars, i can only seem to find them for sale here https://store.somafab.com/handlebars.html, i can't find the contact info on the soma site and i searched the forums to no avail, they look similar to my precious rb-021s so i'm interested, anyone use them? anyone compare them to the rb-021s? are these new? any info anyone has would be cool.
thanks,
dan

Bikes: IRO Angus; Casati Gold Line; Redline 925; '72 Schwinn Olympic Paramount

I think it's a typo.

I believe the only difference is that instead of dropping straight out, they drop angled forward a bit. So, I would imagine that the dropped flats are a bit farther forward than on the 21's.

^and probably really unnatural to hold onto, imagine your hands adducted inwards while reaching out forward.

p.s. i didn't like the shoulders of rb-021's, thought the slope was too much. and then the flats on top were too narrow. i just rested my hands on the bends where they finished sloping down and bent forward.

if you run 19s or 09s please don't tilt them up like antlers, as discussed by bsnyc. i don't see how anyone finds that comfortable.

It's probably just people who have their stem too low.

does anyone know if the different widths of rb-021s have more room on the flats? (ie do 42s have more flats than 40s, or are the bars just proportionally larger?) I really like the shape of the 019s and 021s, but really would like some additional flat space so that i can comfortably run a front, cross-lever brake.

I have seen some bars on the road that look similar (that offer more flat) anyone have any recommendations for bullhorns that also offer some drop?

based on photos i've seen here, on the 38 the bend starts soon after the sleeve, and larger sizes have more flat. i have a 42 and there's a fair amount of flat.

yeah i switch out my bars between risers and the rb-021. i was in a rush one day and slapped on my bullhorns real fast before leaving, they were tilted up. not much, just a few degrees slightly but it was the most uncomfortable ride ive had in a long time. sprinting felt like the bike was gonna colapse under me. it was goofy and hell

i ordered some profile airwing bullhorns--looks similar to rb-021's, but, it seemed like the slope on the shoulders was less. hopefully. we'll see..

airwings do have a wider flat and less drop than the nitto 21s. the last bend is pretty different, too. they are also bulge formed rather than sleeved, internally routed, and black.

yes, the flat on the top of the 38 is much narrower than the flat on the top of the 42
