Long Beach Ca peoples - help a brother out
I just finished building up a 74' motobecane. took me forever cause I had to get french sized parts and I'm cheap. Got stolen yesterday while I was at trader joe's on bellflower. Just hoping if anyone see's it on the streets or for sale or knows someone who mighta grabbed it if you could help a brother out. Same red/black as the one below w/black iro wheelset and some jenky ass cut down beachcruiser handlebars. Back to riding my mtb and it feels like a tank. thanks. P.S. I know another guy who has a fixed motobecane that looks very similar but he's usually rocking flat bars and a black bandana on top tube.

That sucks.
I don't live too far from there. I'll keep an eye out for it.

thanks. For some reason I've been riding a bike (no car) for 5 years but since I built up my fixed gear people comment on it and recongize me as a bike rider. Seems silly considering I've done most of my riding on a hybrid or mtb but I've really enjoyed building a bike that I can ride. Hope to find it before (or whether) it get's stripped of parts. Thankfully I have another bike to ride for transport and I'm not too attached to possesions. At the same time, I didn't lock it up and I realize that I ****ed up. I've read plenty of threads about the best lock. Visited NYC for two weeks and saw that everyone from the fixed gear messenger to the bootleg fast food delivery guy had a thick chain lock and thought it was ridiculous. Now I realize that, as Nick Cave says, "people just ain't no good". Not really. Still love humanity.
