brakes

Hi hope all are well... I plan to change the front brakes on my old bike (PUCH Pathfinder, i've made into a single speed)... it has center pull brakes now. what I'd like to do is go with something new and not as heavy... but i want something that will reach too as i have 27" wheels... and not cost a load of cash...
any and all help is worth a ton to me

thanks all

How much reach do you need? The Tektro R556 brakes are pretty nice & have 55-73 mm reach. $47.99 + shipping for a set at Alfred E. Bike...
