getting some chain noise...

so a few nights ago, i my bike was literally as silent as its ever been. it had been that way for some time.
yesterday i installed a new dura-ace cog and now i'm getting all kinds of chain noise.
just like... the type of noise you would expect from a regular road bike.
the ONLY thing that changed was the cog.
i triple checked my chain line and it seems spot on.
any ideas to get it back to silent?

i was thinking maybe the cog i had previously was worn with the chain stretch (if there is any), so perhaps a new chain would solve things.

set up is miche track hub, dura-ace cog, generic front ring, and kmc chain

Probably.

I always change the chain if I'm changing rings and/or cogs that are worn.

yea. i'm gonna pick up a new chain tonight and see if it goes away.
but i suppose the d/a could just be louder...
i'll tell it to shut up.
maybe that'll work.
