frame repair

i have a compressed triangle in the rear and was wondering if it was fixable. it was a traditional 120mm but got compressed into a 112mm. i considered just yanking them apart and measuring it myself but i thought maybe i should ask some people first. i believe its a cro-mo frame (old bianchi Pista frame) should i bring it to the LBS and see if they can do their magic on it or try it myself??
