anyone using Dura Ace FCR700 cranks on your ss?

anyone using Dura Ace FCR700 cranks on your ss?
did you swap out the ring for a ss ring or are you using a 10 spd chain? any issues?

i am not, but 10 spd rings are narrower than 9/8/7/track/whatever chains so the only possible problems i can think of are a little extra noise and maaaaaybe premature wear on the ring and chain (assuming a good chainline).
i have a few friends running 10spd (not DAFCR700) rings with 1/8" chains on their fixed gears and they work fine.

The FC-R700 crankset is not really a "DuraAce" product... It's actually not part of any particular Shimano series, but the FC-R700 is similar to the quality/weight of an Ultegra-level crankset. It is important to note that the FC-R700 is a "compact" crankset.
Compact cranksets have chainrings that are significantly smaller in diameter than conventional cranks. Compact cranks typically have 50-tooth chainrings on the outer location and an inner ring with 34-teeth vs. 53/39 teeth on most road bikes. The "compact" crankset's ability to use these smaller chainrings occurs because of the crank's smaller bolt circle pattern, which uses chainrings with 110mm BCD (bolt circle diameter) instead of the usual 130mm or 135mm bolt circle spacing. By using a "compact" crankset with a smaller double chainring configuration with fewer teeth per ring, road bike riders are able to capitalize on new gear ranges. Personally, I don't think it makes sense to use a compact crankset in a singlespeed/fixed-gear application, but I think you can do it...
If you are interested in using the FC-R700 crankset for a SS/fixed-gear application, you'll need to get a singlespeed chainring with your preferred number of teeth, and a 110 BCD. You'll remove the two chainrings that came with the crank, and install the new single chainring on the spider in the position of the larger (outer) chainring. You'll use "single-stack" chainring bolts, which are not as long, and they allow one chainring to be bolted onto the crank, instead of two chainrings.
I'm using a DuraAce FC-7800 crankset on a track bike with no problems. I removed the DuraAce 53-tooth and 39-tooth chainrings and installed a Salsa 42-tooth singlespeed chainring with 130mm BCD, paired with a SRAM PC-1 singlespeed chain and DuraAce 16-tooth track cog.

i just got some FC-7410's and im usin the 53 that was on it and a 20t coaster brake......the chainline is off some but im usin a 10 sp chain and so far no probs.....i think im gunna look for a smaller bb if there is one or worst case i'll redish the wheel
