Bikes + Coffee?
I'm thinking about getting the Soma Morning Rush coffee holder, but the question for a velophile is, what sort of bike coffee can i put in it?
found this one https://www.calhouncycle.com/productc...&idproduct=778
and everyone seems to love peet's and fast freddie's, but are there other options?

I dunno, but it's getting pretty cold here and I gotta get me something like that. I might go with a nice thermos instead so I don't have to buy one those thingies for every bike, it's not like I can sip while riding anyway. I suppose it would be nice at lights and stuff though.

personally I buy coffee for taste not it's association with bikes.
I got a thermos cup at work a couple years ago that fit perfectly in a normal water bottle holder. Maybe just bring one into the store with you and try out a bunch.

I got a $10 guarentied (sp?) spill proof cup at walmart. it fits in my bottle cage and I am yet to spill a drop with it. it is an easy open twist top, and yes kemmer, it is perfect for sitting at red lights on a cold morning (of course its still 70 degrees here in the morning)

I usually just roll with a 22oz thermos in my bag. I Make a big french press full of coffee before i leave home, and 1.5hrs later it's still HOT at work.
drawback is that it can't be consumed on the way there, but.....
As for what brand of coffee to get.... The one that tastes the best.

Jules: Mmmm! Goddamn, Jimmie! This is some serious gourmet ****! Usually, me and Vince would be happy with some freeze-dried Taster's Choice, but he springs this serious GOURMET **** on us! What flavor is this?
Jimmie: Knock it off, Julie.
Jules: [pause] What?
Jimmie: I don't need you to tell me how ****ing good my coffee is, okay? I'm the one who buys it. I know how good it is. When Bonnie goes shopping she buys ****. Me, I buy the gourmet expensive stuff because when I drink it I want to taste it. But you know what's on my mind right now? It AIN'T the coffee in my kitchen, it's the dead ****** in my garage.
Jimmie: Knock it off, Julie.

Trek makes a mug just for bottle cages https://store.trekbikes.com/jump.jsp?...&bShopOnline=0
It comes stock with one of their bikes or you can buy it for like $20 at a LBS.

yess. it's all about stumptown!
and if you need some fancy bike relation to your coffee beans... courier coffee in portland is as good as it gets. small operation, delivered on a cargo bike, better prices than stumptown and just about as good (light to medium roast).

I've found 2 different travel mugs that work great for bike-carry.
The first is a Trudeau brand SS mug with a twist top system that seals perfectly, and it's easy to open and you can drink from it from any point around the top unlike "sippy lids" which leak and require you drink from one spot. It fits all my water bottle cages fine, but the Profile Design "Kage" works best for holding non-standard water bottles. I can also throw it inside my bag secure in the knowledge that it won't leak.
The other one is a stainless steel caribeaner mug with a twist off cap that is sealed with an O-ring. you have to remove the lid to drink from it which is not as convenient for on-bike sipping or strolling and sipping, but the trade off is that it clips easily to the strap on my bag, or once again can be kept inside the bag without fear of leakage.
