What does this have to do with anything?

schnee 10-24-07 10:54 AM

Do I need to get the PhD before I can ride the recumbent?

streetlightpoet 10-24-07 10:55 AM

why does the choice need to be made?

I don't know, I was just curious. It was just one of those dumb things that have a tendency to pop into my head while riding to work.

Normally you would but for the purposes of this poll, no.

666pack 10-24-07 11:41 AM

dutch bikes have a lot of cool accesories on them.

i'm going with the dutch on this one.

eMwolB 10-24-07 11:47 AM

Dutch, except I'd add a banana seat with a tall sissy bar and ape-hanger handle bars.

The dutch bike is clearly the coolest of the three, but also the slowest. I think I'm leaning towards the bent.

I have to go electric MTB on this one. Perfect for an xtracycle.

^the above gif basically sums up the entire fixed/ss subforum.

mediccody 10-24-07 12:12 PM

I would choose A.

Also, is anyone else getting really annoyed with the BikeForums errors for the past couple days? Server errors?

Too many people getting fat, sitting in chairs and posting on the internet, instead of riding bikes?

I'd pick the Dutch bike. They're really cool, IMO. I'd love to go to the Netherlands and experience the Amsterdam bike culture first-hand.

Well, it is that kind of year....

I'm inside because my ankle is currently in a cast.

But I am shopping for frames/looking into building my own.

cosmo starr 10-24-07 12:23 PM

id like to ride the 'bent but i picked the dutch bike because its more practical on a daily basis

crushkilldstroy 10-24-07 12:32 PM

I picked the recumbent. I would have picked the MTB, but DS frames with that high of a pivot point suck the royal ballsack.

Of course, I'm kind of biased because I kind of want a recumbent in real life.

riderx 10-24-07 12:51 PM

It's obviously a trick question. The single speed is the only correct answer.

Straws 10-24-07 12:56 PM

I saw a kid with that MTB on campus the other day. I almost took a cell pic of it to show you guys I was so appalled at it.

I choose that one.

shapelike 10-24-07 01:15 PM

Definitely the trike, purely for upskirt pics.

octopus magic 10-24-07 01:28 PM

I'd do the recumbant if only I can gain 50 pounds, then talk about how I rode the distance to the moon at a 15 miles per hour.

colnago57 10-24-07 01:28 PM

I already own a wicked dutch bike so I'd stick with that, it kicks ***** for bike pub crawls.

asherlighn 10-24-07 01:32 PM

My facial hair grows in really ****ty, so I think I am ruled out of being allowed on a recumbent.

That dutch bike looks like it could be fun.

yonderboy 10-24-07 01:34 PM

I'd give it up for one of these:

crushkilldstroy 10-24-07 01:36 PM

Man, that thing is fugly, even on trials bike standards.

wroomwroomoops 10-24-07 01:52 PM

Weird it may be, but the recumbent will achieve the highest final speed - higher than most roadies on their road bikes.

Yeah, it's weird - weird fast.
