Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Bikes: THE KIND WITH TWO WHEELS AND ONE GEAR

The specialized globe is a hybrid with weird sloping geometry, I think the issue is more the frame than the fork youd damn near have to just turn your fork backwards to get that wheel close to the frame

Edit:damnit........got beat

Bikes: 2009 Surly Steamroller, 19?? Fuji ?, 19?? Univega Viva Sport, Marin/Xtracycle combo

depending on the rest of the geometry, having your front wheel closer in could be a terribly ******** idea. think about that. the globe isn't a track bike, or even a road bike really.

Bikes: SE fixie

I was actually wondering this myself. I want to bring my fork closer. Wish there was better feedback...

Just ghost ride your bike into a brick wall about 10 times and that should do the trick.

Bikes: Gary Fisher Aquila (retired), Specialized Allez Sport (in parts), Cannondale R500, HP Velotechnic Street Machine, Dented Blue Fixed Gear (retired), Seven Tsunami SSFG, Specialized Stumpjumper Comp Hardtail (alloy version)

You can get a straight fork for just about any bike.... WHY you would want to do this is the larger question.

It'll really screw up the handling of your bike if you do.

I think he's talking about track fork ends not a lower rake track fork.

this is stupid there is absolutely no reason you should be trying to get your wheel closer to your frame.

If you are obsessed with tight frame-wheel clearance and a track-bike look, you should just get a track frameset. Otherwise, you'll end up with a stupid looking and poorly handling compromise.

Give your mom back her bike and ask for a track bike for x-mas.
