noestaencasa, I actually like your first selection. Simplicity wins on pg. 1 IMO 4 sure. Seeing a lot of fancy lugged bikes, makes me want something like that... simple and crisp...

also a good paint job goes a long way toward appreciating a well-used bike. Why is my DB pista frame so ****tily painted (easily scratched)? May have to go the autobody shop route.

anyways speaking of crisp lines/paint jobs...do most indy builders do their own paint? do you?

those fancy lugs are pretty crappy in my opinon. i like a nice clean cut lug with a long point and smooth curves. nervex type stuff isn't that appealing.

I find it absolutely hilarious that Mr. Walker trys to enforce rules for his pic threads.
Maybe he should post a list of rules at the beginning of the thread so people will follow them.
Oh wait, he tried that before. lol
It didnt work. lmao

I think you bring it on yourself with your attitude. Heck, even in the otherwise excellent article on frame geometry in a bike magazine I saw recently (I forget the name) one of the first things you say is 'I don't play well with others'. I mean, c'mon. If that isn't a dare, I don't know what is.

You reap what you sow.

I like the Roland Della Santa frame in the first post.

The simplicity and restrained contrasts appeal to me.

Well, since I have a catalog of over 1100 shots from this years NAHBS alone, why not share a few?

As Cynikal points out, there's always a few buttheads that want to hijack the thread with their own fave pics and then call me names when I ask them not to hijack the thread.

Ahhh, the fun of being anonymous on the internet. It keeps one from getting served a "life's lesson" in real life....

Even Richard Sachs thinks the same way of that particular bike and was considering ordering one for his collection.

Do you think you could post some pics of the Jonny Cycles booth at the show. I also heard he did a really nice TIG track frame as well for the show.

Cheers

+1

The forum doesn't work the way you'd like it to, Don, and it never will. We go offtopic all the time, that's just the way it is.
Read BF and post pics on your own blog. Then we'll steal your pics and start a thread here with them and then you can read that and... oh no, that's not gonna work, either

Edit: it's hilarious how tiger's posts are only present in quotes. Reading this gave me a total CSI impression.
