working with holders is awkward, but i'm glad everybody is coming out to the Rat Pack Hustle and getting the hang of it. i prefer trackstand starts, but you don't really have much say in real track events.
every now and then i still hop my front wheel as well, and its nerve wracking because you're simultaneously using your arms for a little more leverage and potentially twisting your bars. honestly i don't have much in terms of advice for fast starts. ask alex if he makes it out on monday. He's definitely got the hang of it. oh, and eddie; nathbdp = john. john = jackass hipster in the photo. |

actually that's not that uncommon when you're starting a sprint from a dead start. Granted, it certainly isn't good form, but i think this thread was started as an acknowledgment of that.
