Guys I don't know if any of your are interested, but my house is playing an on bike game of capture the flag this Saturday. We have had about 30 people already say they are coming, but the more the better. If anyone is interested just leave a post and I will put up all the info on here.

zsno 04-02-08 07:59 PM

Time, place, and details would be awesome. I'm working til 930 though...

804RVA 04-02-08 08:57 PM

-Meetup is going to be 930 pm and the game will start at 10. (1302 west cary street is the meet up house)
-Everyone will have to be on a bike, doesn't matter what kind just a bike of some sort.

******UPDATED INFORMATION********

Two Team Names:
Pup and Suds (Blue)
Paper Brigade (Red)

Boundaries:
Harrison to Cherry and Cary to Floyd with no man land as the brick path between the life sciences building and the commons and the old business building auditorium.

Bases:
Will be on Cherry and Harrison

Jails:
-The corner of Cherry and Main at the elevator of the parking garage.
-The parking lot/ally in between Piccola’s and Floyd.

Rules:
-Everyone must be on a bike
-Teams will be divided at random
-Stay within in the boundaries
-There will be two jails, if you tag an enemy on your side of the field they will go to jail and remain inside until freed.
-To free your allies you must touch the jail, this is called a jailbreak
-Once freed, all the people that were in jail get a free ride back to their side of the field. They must return back to their side before trying to capture the other team’s flag.
-Fly your colors loudly and proudly (in other words flags must be seen at all times)
-You have to wear your flag to be able to move it. (It will be on a helmet)

Notes:
-If you can, bring clothing in both red and blue so that when teams are chosen there will be no confusion as to who is on your team. At the very least bring a white t-shirt that can be made red or blue.

I saw that hanging panorama in AFO, ****ing awesome.
Awesome portfolio btw, good luck. I'm applying to graphic design.

Im soaked. I should also invest in a fender sometime, not like it would have helped much riding home tonight though.

really wanted to do this, but i'll be to busy having a rager. party and *****.

lordgold 04-08-08 08:56 PM

My green Mercier Kilo was stolen about 2 hours ago. I went inside the house for 20 minutes, came out, and it was gone. It's a 53 cm, black Deep Vs, and most of the components were black too. I had black Syntace Stratos bullhorns on it. If anyone sees it, could they let me know? My number is 757-254-3533.

I put an craigslist posting about it, hopefully it can be found. :(

Jenkinsal2 04-08-08 09:44 PM

That really sucks man Ill Keep a look out for you. Where do you live by the way id check neighbors or people that knew you had the bike

lordgold 04-08-08 10:00 PM

I live in the dorms, but I was at my friends house on Clairbourne. We asked the neighbors, and a **** load of people know that it was stolen now.

I've got a hint that a crackhead took it. According to my friends, some dude was looking around their backyard, and after scaring him off, were discussing bringing the bikes in, but didn't. My bike wasn't the only one out there either. There were about 5 others, but mine just happened to be the one that was taken.

804RVA 04-08-08 10:39 PM

That sucks man I am s paranoid about leaving my bike unlocked anywhere in the city. At the very least I free lock my back wheel so you cant ride it. But as everyone else has said I will defiantly keep my eyes peeled for your bike man.

lordgold 04-08-08 11:00 PM

Yeah, I usually am too. I had my lock with me, but forgot my keys in my room. So, I was kind of ****ed.

lordgold 04-09-08 10:24 AM

On a high note, I did get into Graphic Design.

indexdothtml 04-09-08 11:46 AM

Another stolen bike: Walked outside this morn and my bike had been stolen. My bad for keeping it outside in the first place over night, also, it was on the Brandt/Rhoads bike lockup side of the street, but on the fence(with a ****ty lock too!!), so way to go for me. Would have to have been stolen 4/8 (possibly around the same time as the kilo tt....), there's a craigslist ad, but keep an eye out for me:
06 (silver) Giant Bowery, stock frame, headset, rims only, it has these horribly large 28*Michelin Dynamics on them, so it stands out a bit, also, the "GIANT" sticker is still on the seat tube. My number is on the craigslist (http://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/636073771.html)

VAwitt 04-09-08 11:50 AM

sucksssss, keep your bikes inside kids!!!!!

thanks to everyone who checks my blog, i got into PAPR, which is tight. I think i was one of few who had it as their first choice...but im big into printmaking

but thanks jenk, streetlamp, and collective
(ps i update erry other day just about)
