VAwitt, they're probably way too expensive for me but what were your prices on those 3 canvases in the "Making an art" thread?

It's a 50cm so it's hard to miss

saw this parked next to my IRO today outside oliver. nice ride.

enjoi 11-20-07 09:09 PM

here's my bike, its usually outside of the eng. building and infront of brandt/rhoads. Its mostly primer now as it was starting to rust and i cant find time to take the bike apart to paint it. I've traded the bull horns for drops and have put on a longer stem since this picture. I also have a yellow tall bike that a suit mate and i ride occasionally.

Does anybody have a 50-53cm frame that they would be interested in selling? It doesnt really have to look good I just would like a frame for my beater that actually fits me.

I don't, but I feel your pain. I'm about 5'11"-6', and I'm riding a 64cm frame. I can barely touch the ground standing over the top tube.

On a side note, my new pedals, clips, and straps just shipped from Ben's cycles, and should be here on Thursday in time for the ride.

My frame is a bit shorter if you are interested in an old roadbike frame. If I can find a frame to take its place I can sell it to you for cheap.

Thanks, but it's going to be out of the door soon. I'm getting a Kilo for Christmas. :D

There's an Agee's on West Broad?
Or are you talking about Bunnyhop?

Yeah, there's one in Midlothian, too. But don't go there. They would rather sell you a new bike than help you fix your old one. Try Rowlette's at Staples Mill & Broad (Behind Krispy Kreeme), or Pibby's at Marshall and, well, two blocks west of Belvidere, or Recycles at Cary and Robinson. They are are great shops that are willing to help you find what you need, and they support the local cycling community.

when deciding what to do for my new bike, the guy at rowletts (mike?) was pretty helpful and honest. i like bunnyhop a lot, but starr at carytown bikes is honest as well.

RICHMOND HEADS!
what goes on in your city. i'm trying to ride in richmond sometime soon. any alleycats/casual rides anytime soon?

i go to uva, where just about nothing goes on. i'm trying to ride in richmond, it beats driving to dc and bmore all the time. i just have no idea of anything in richmond nor any vcu heads that ride.

I'm in the process of making a tall bike for April. Could you give me some tips on how you made yours?

To be perfectly honest, the best time to come to town is for Slaughterramma, on the weekend closest to April 1st. The local bike gangs take over an old foundry and there is a bike carnival. Tug-o-war, tall bike jousting, bike polo, foot down, Piggy back races, charriot races, and anything else you might think of to do on a bike while drunk. Its on an island in the middle of the river with a shady past, so the cops don't show up much. Oh, and there are several hundred kids with bikes and beer, just being crazy.

As for finding people to ride with ... Just drive to town any night of the week, cruise the fan on your bike, and when you see a bar with ten or twenty bikes locked up outside, go in. Someone in there will know something. Bars to check: Helen's, Sticky Rice, Ipanema, NY Deli. Just ride around, you'll see them.

Yup, and the Camel, too. Like I said, just ride around the fan, you'll find someone. :D

My friend Clay is the sound guy at the Camel. One of my favorite places to hang out.
