Deep V's go as low as $150. Why settle for a lesser wheelset?

What do you mean lesser wheelset? I also have seen velocity brand "deep v" wheelsets for less than around $230. Is the alien set bad quality?

By lesser I mean "not backed by raving hordes of BFSSFG members" Actually, the marketing copy on Alien's website is kind of sketchy and their rear hubs lack a second set of threads. I don't have personal experience with the wheels though, so they could be good despite the bad vibes.

I'd never visited Alien Bikes' site before.

https://www.alienbikes.com/gear.html

Very impressive.

I normally don't like threaded headsets and quill stems, but for these prices and looks, I could learn to like it.

the thing about alien's wheels....look at the hubs. they're dimensions. not horrible, you know? but what are the rims? that's my question about them.
