Which crankset/wheels????

Hello all. I'm new here and need some advice. I just bought an old Sekine for $10. Not the greatest model but it's perfect for what i want... I've already stripped all the 'crap' off of it and threw on some bargain bin bars. Anyways, wondering if someone could recommend some half decent wheels and cranks for my ride.. Right now it has 27" rims and the square taper cranks. I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible but i'm willing to spend a bit for this.

THANKS!

KD

ps, i'll post some pics when i get a chance...

I would pick up some bulletproof cranks they are pretty cheap. You have a bunch of options as far as wheels go. I have a set of vuelta wheels(160) and set of Deep V's(230).

Why do you need new cranks? Maybe the ones on there are sufficient. I'd spend money on cogs, chainrings, pedals, bottom bracket, etc. before spending money on cranks.

Harris Cycling offers one of the cheapest track wheelsets worth using. Look into it. Quality Bicycle Parts offers another wheelset for $170. Alexrims laced to a Formula hub. Check your local bike shop out.
