So.. I read this thread yesterday, and today I decided to slacken my chain a bit (and buy a new chain btw). Before my chain was pretty tight becz I was under the impression that chic's dissed doods with limp chains.. and was afraid of throwing the chain while in traffic, etc. But now that it is slackened a bit I notice such a HUGE difference, just freakin unbelievable man! I never knew pedalling was supposed to be this easy! It is like angels are helping to push me along - and so on and so forth.. Anyways thanku fixed gear peeps for showing me the way, I love you guys.

i did the same thing... however this shouldn't be in its own thread, just post it as a reply to that other one. that way everyone can find it easier...

Yeah, it's nice to have a little slack in one's chain, but if I wanted to search for it "cow sh**" wouldn't come to mind instinctively.
