Can my LBS order a Pista?

I'm wondering if they can order it in for me. Also does it come with a flip-flop hub? And how much is a front brake?

Pista the Bianchi Pista? I don't know about your LBS, but I can answer other questions. By default, at least for US market, it doesn't come with flip-flop hub, just fixed. I know those for Japanese market come with flip-flop and brakes though.

Price really depends what grade of brake you want. You can get cheap (tektro) caliper and lever under $50.

No, your local bike shop doesn't sell fixies.

They can turn my bike into a fixie for $60. I don't remember fixies there. Another LBS has a rare fixie.

Are BMX pedals ok for a fixie?

Serious answer? Ask them. If they sell Bianchi stuff, they most likely can.

I'd give you a non-serious answer, but I'm almost out of LOLcats and need to conserve them for riser threads.

Nope. Unless you wanna commit suicide. You want to get either pedals with clips and straps or clipless pedals.

say your goin really fast and your foot slips off the pedal... its gonna come around and smack you in the calf, possibly chucking you off the bike.

Also, its good to learn to stop your fixed gear using your feet. This is twice as hard without anything holding your foot onto the pedal.
