You can make a bolt on cog hub using a MTB front hub. You can also drill you own cogs instead of paying someone else to drill six holes.

Phil is one of the few where there is some substance behind the name. Phil hubs are relatively cheap, compared to some other much more expensive ones, which offer about the same quality.

Zipp and Campagnolo Pista are the others that I can think of that are more expensive. But you're right there aren't many hubs out there that are much more expensive (ignoring stupid ones like Powertaps etc). |

Tune. Chris King. Campagnolo. Whte Industries. All of these guys make hubs that are 3 (and some even up to 6!) times more expensive than a Phil rear hub. |
