You think that's too little? That should easily cover the extra calories needed for fuel. Of course that depends on what your fuel is and you're getting it.

a lot of employers offer "transportation subsides." these usually only apply to public transportation such as the subway. but some motorists with lawyers were able to convince their employers that they were being unfairly denied, so many employers started kicking down for parking as well. and some forward thinking employers even decided throw us bike commuters a bone. i get up to a hundred bucks back a month as long as i show receipts.

I get $21 a month for if I ride 4 out of 5 days on average. You get the same for walking, bus, carpool, or moto.

as in, i have to buy the bike stuff first. then once i prove i bought it, and can somehow convince them that it's related to my bike commute, they add it to my paycheck (up to $100 a month pre-tax).
