Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

You think that's too little? That should easily cover the extra calories needed for fuel. Of course that depends on what your fuel is and you're getting it.

Dude, I wonder if I could get a tax break on food I eat before/after pedicabbing?! That'd be rad.

a lot of employers offer "transportation subsides." these usually only apply to public transportation such as the subway. but some motorists with lawyers were able to convince their employers that they were being unfairly denied, so many employers started kicking down for parking as well. and some forward thinking employers even decided throw us bike commuters a bone. i get up to a hundred bucks back a month as long as i show receipts.

I get $21 a month for if I ride 4 out of 5 days on average. You get the same for walking, bus, carpool, or moto.
