installing a new brake

so, i'm setting up my new brake.. please go easy on me.. i'm still a newb, but i'm getting htere.

i got the following components:

this nashbar brake

https://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?c...illeur%20Cable

tektro r200a

seeing as this is my first time setting up brakes.. it looks like i also need some sort of cable housing and maybe end on the housing? is this something you get from a LBS and you can do at home? my cable is wayyy too long, is this something i cut to size? does it need an end on it? can i do that at home? and how to you connect the cable to the brake itself?

again, sorry for the questions and i know it should probably be in a different forum, but i like it here.

TIA for any help. In the meantime, i'll continue scowering sheldon brown and other sites.
