Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Oh come on Gary. We played footdown together in Boston. I touched your bars. You asked if I had a camera on my helmet.

But it was just a light.

for real though, blickblocks - you gotta take one of your online friends and shot them. That the rule. It makes moderating easier down the road.

Pretty much. The job of a mod: do your best to find a balance between chaos and fun, get a whole bunch of **** for it.

I will say that since dutret had that temporary ban and toned down his posts, he's actually quite agreeable. His facts were usually correct but his presention (pre-ban) was horrendous. Post-ban his facts are still usually correct, but his presentation is much better.

Lawls. Fun as it may be to have threads started about how horrible you are, being a mod isn't nearly as great as you might think. Blickblocks is getting his first taste of that now.

EDIT: OK. I admit, I like being able to read threads in the trash and it's nice to not have to wait between searches.

Since I tend to slip in and out of consciousness around here, when was the duret ban? And for what?

I look at what duret does as practicing tough love

I don't think he was actually banned, I think I just gave him an infraction and he said he was going to take a little break from SSFG. Did someone else ban him?
