Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? seems like Brooks see the potential in the fixed gear arena for major profit. they gonna be the next deep vs for saddles.

just to put it out there, I just tried these bars (Mossberg) out that came with the oldies I found:

I thought they were track bars and really said to myself why can't all track bars be this comfy but then I was told they aren't tracks but are more like Nitto Rando bars. While a little disappointed, its good to say I'm hooked on them. They feel fantastic.

ps. they will be wrapped

Youre disappointed cause theyre not really track bars?
Does it matter what the company intended them for?

I know. I couldn't get the chain length right so this is a temporary setup until my half link comes in.

In my opinion Brooks saddles almost always look terrible. Once and awhile on certain bikes they will look okay. A Brooks paired with that Mercier definitely looks terrible. I have been resisting posting my hatred of Brooks saddles for a few years, but I just couldn't do it any longer. It feels good to be out of the closet! I said it: I think Brooks saddles are ugly.

Thats what im saying. They dont always look bad. 90% of the time they ruin the bikes looks.
The Mercier above is ruined by it totally. The saddle is way out of place on that bike.

This guy is local to me and his fits with the bike and its other components, IMO.

nope. plenty of people use road bars in mass start races.
it's pretty much sprinters who use track bars

you can use any drop bar for mass start races.
and bullhorns in the pursuit.
