Yes. I did it at work and just sprattled some black over the bare spots. I cut off the derailleur hanger as well. Looks better. Frame is an old pile of rust anyways but it works good. It's my 4th conversion. I can't decide if I will ever just get a real track bike. I probably will soon. I kind of want to buy a tube set and build a frame for myself.

i can't really tell from the photo, but is it tig welded with fastback stays? i dunno if you've posted this bike before, but i'm pretty curious about it.

The frame was made by a an unknown builder (colombus tubing/drops), raced on the track for a while, and then came to me. Thats a 45 tooth ring at the moment.

because the girls that like these guys are also idiots and you should be glad they are taking themselves out of the picture. saves you the trouble of stabbing eyes (yours or others).
