Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Normally I don't like conversions but this is a nice one. Nice geometry, 700c frame and good clearances.

I should have taken a picture of this bike at Carytown Bicycles today. Starr said it belonged to one of the owners. I cant remember what frame it was because I was so taken with the wheelset. mirror polished Campagnolo Deep V style 16 hole rims. I'm absolutely kicking myself for not taking a picture because there's no way I can describe this bike.

Not really. Considering the long stem and the position of the bars, it would appear that the rider has short legs and a long torso.

Yeah? Well my beater is Eddy Merck's 1972 Colnago-built, Windsor-badged track bike used for his record-setting Hour attempt in Mexico City. I ride it with SPD pedals and sneakers, cause I'm wacky like that.
