Actually, the bike fits me fine. I just prefer the more upright position of having the bars swept back when I ride in traffic as well as casually on the bike paths, as was my intended purpose for installing them the way I did.

When I did have the bullhorns on "properly", and rode them as they were designed, I had no issues. But like I said, I just prefer the upright position for more casual riding, even if I lose a lot of cool points. I can just as easily flip 'em forward when the mood strikes.

As for fitting toeclips and straps on the pedals....yeah, I know.

.
That's the point. If the bike did fit you, on the flats of the bars would BE YOUR UPRIGHT POSITION that you would ride casually on bike paths.

Internet bike fittings are a vulgar display of trying too hard to impress.

Clearly the bullhorn was reversed in the manner of a porteur handlebar - sometimes upright on the tops is not upright enough.

I have a shoulder injury and I had once elected to do the same with my Fillmore to mitigate the pain - despite having other bikes which were setup traditionally. Sometimes it's nice to have options for seating positions - particularly if you have more than one bike as I do.

No, riding on the flats gives me my usual road cycling position, with my elbows slightly bent and my torso still at a bit of an angle. With the bars and horns swept back I have a completely straight vertical back position, as MIN has pointed out.

If the bike came close to fitting him, he'd be steering with his knees with that set up. I'd love to see a vid of him riding that bike. He'd have to have arms like a T-rex in order to sucessfully ride it.
Maybe it is a joke bike?

It is NOT a joke bike. Far from it. The bar is also wide enough that my knees are clear from hitting them, even when cornering. I ride it quite "successfully".

Here's me with the similar setup (but with Nitto Promenade bars instead of reversed bullhorns.)

In fact, the bar ends to come up to about the knees but that's why the bars are wider than the width of both legs.

I still have a bend in the back with the bars.

That's it. The owner should have used Promenade bars. I couldn't think of the name.

But personally, I would use a handlebar more becoming to such a beautiful bike. The flipped bullhorns make the bike fall short, IMNSHO.

Nice bike, MIN.

I see in the first shot you had a white SSM Regal, and with the others you went with a Brooks with a Selle Anatomica mod.

Thinking of doing some CX in the fall so I got some 30mm knobbies from Nashbar and crammed them into my Trek 660 conversion:

Did some trail riding in Burton Creek State Park above Tahoe City on Saturday. Good fun!

I just picked up a set of the City Bars from NYCBikes. They were $10 plus shipping. A little bit more sweep than I'd prefer, but they're good bars.

Nice bike Min, your bars are significantly shorter than on the joke bike. A shorter stem might alleviate some of his fit issues, if the bike is meant as a real bike.

I might be wrong but looks like the icon riser bar might be a pretty sweet option. Seems to have less sweep than the city bar.

$0 for risers taken off of a schwinn mountain bike in friend's garage. Work great. FTW
