Sorry for moving this! I posted it while that super gigantic post in front of me was being done. I thought I ended up in the middle somehow. That blew my mind.

Here's my single speed built up from a 2000 KHS Flite 300. It's nothing special, but I absolutely love it. I have a sugino 75 crank and a nitto technomic deluxe on the way.

not sure, i think the soft. I'm tempted to give it another shot, I just found that there being no adhesive and not much stretchness made it really hard to wrap on tight. Feels/looks great though

yes i was debating over whether to get this or the alien and went with this for the account of the pretty dropouts and the columbus tubing. Oh and I got it a hell lot earlier too than i would've if I'd waited for the Alien

Good looking KHS. Foot retention would be a nice addition to the 75's. Crank Bros or Speedplay. BTW, I mean that as a friendly suggestion. I like that bike.

After - Yeah I know, I seriously need a break. Ive looked everywhere, but I can not find the one that fits. There was bigger wheels on the original one.

The soft touch feels like suede. I think what happened is when you pulled off the adhesive tape protector strip, you pulled off the adhesive also. It's tricky but you have to separated the two.

You can still make it work as long as you wrapped from middle to end.

Good looking bike. Execept for what appears to be some chips on the TT, that frame looks nearly mint.

It just happened to work out. I found that magic gear. The dropouts are also semi-horizontal(or is it semi-vertical)? so that helps a bit. I like the idea of going to simple clipless pedals, though here's just something classy about toe clips and leather straps.

^ i bet that if you get some non-insanely-long bullhorns you won't need to have your saddle that far forward.

concur...bars were a free swap from the LBS, so i didn't make an issue of it. i'll probably switch to risers anyway

first, you put phil hubs, cog, and lockring on a 27inch conversion?
you put a tri-spoke wheel on a 27inch conversion?
it looks like you laced your lovely phil hub to cxp22's? I love my cxp22's but they are not deserving of a phil hub.

It's been so much fun to ride and I love being on it... I commute, do all my shopping, race, do tricks and do distance traveling on this bike. Some day I'll scrape some real $$$ together and build a few different bikes, each one specialized to the tasks I use it for, but for now, I love having one very versatile bike!

That is so bad ass. It's like a VH1 documentary of a musician who's had a really long career.
