True, but I'm also one of the staunchest Japanophiles as well. I also wanted a steel track frame so I could eventually put S+S couplers on it, which this bike may eventually get.

Frames with S+S couplers are typically made with specially butted tubing and I'm pretty sure it's not recommended to just add S+S couplers, plus I've heard quotes of 500 bucks for it.

i've heard this, and i've also heard about hundreds of successful s+s retrofits. you can get them added for as little as $300ish.

Quoted for truth. The manufacturer talks a lot about retrofits on his site.

yup, (almost) any round steel or titanium tubes can be retrofit.
haven't seen $300-ish anywhere. lowest I've seenin around $400.
and you'll need new paint on top of that.

most things in the world are less lame than "ninjas" and "pirates," but i do like the food at taco ninja, even though it's a bit pricey. www.taconinja.com. $1 taco mondays. jackpot.

Of course!

My friend moved to Olympia Washington a while back and everytime he comes back here he buys several burritos freezes them and carts them back up North.

Maybe I should start a burrito shipping business like these guys in France do with their cheese.

Yeah Cancun is good! What are your plans when you are here?
I'll be at the dinner party and up for riding anytime this weekend.

I managed to get us media acreditation to Wonder Con, so the lady and I are going to go nerd out for a while... that's the only thing on the horizon right now. Maybe go see Bob Mould in Sacto on Sunday night. Her parents live in Los Osos, so we're going down there for about a week - we're in SF this weekend and then again from the 22nd-27th. Sadly, we'll be sans bike. At some point, I'd like to hit up freewheel and american to try and get some stuff to finish building up the frame I made her... my main priorities are stuffing my face at cancun and golden era, going to amoeba, and enjoying the warm weather.
