seriously man, that thing is going to be a lot more trouble than it's worth. surely there has to be a place to cop 70's or 80's frames where you live. those would be much much easier, not to mention safer.

I think the one I saw on eBay was purple. Icing on the cake, really. But about the whole "wrong neighborhood" thing, yeah, curtains indeed.

WHOA, WHERE CAN I GET A NEXT LIKE THAT? The bars are rotate right into the position that I like and the rear brake cable flops around just where I want it.

i like it alot, it rides real well.
it's ***'n stiff as hell. it's light too...the geometry is pretty tight for a conversion...i'm gonna put gears on it once i get my track bike built...i wish it were about 2cm smaller though (it's 61cm CtC)
went to a bike meet at a pub this past weekend, there was no ***'n name calling there...strictly fay-jean or fah-jean (the j is real smooth, almost like an "sh").

I wouldn't be caught dead owning a NEXT, even though there's one in my backyard (I swear I don't ride it). The random bikes are from a bike co-op I work at, thanks for the compliments; the penny-farthing is my friend Justin's

Preview of my winter project: Stella frame just back from paint. Hopefully I'll lace up the new wheelset this weekend: Nashbar track hubs to SunRims M13 with 14ga DT Swiss spokes, nothing special. Old Suzue Jr-hub wheelset against the wall. I'm looking for a track crankset, Sugino RD, Pake or similar. There seems to be no shortage of varied opinions floating around here, what cranks would y'all pick in that price range? Or has anyone got a set to sell in the $80 range? And where in the world can I find seatposts in 25.4mm?!? Performance/Nashbar yields nada, google search gets me el-cheapo ones from bikepartsusa and similar.

Breakaway has been having sidewalk sales with random parts. Also, email larry@bike123.com to see if he has any 25.4 seat posts. If he does, I can pick one up for you and send it to Philly.

Also, try ebay.

despite the little dent on the seat tube you can't see, the pepto bismol paint job that will be repainted, i got a decent deal on the bike paying only 780.00 on ebay with everything seen in the photo (everything is brand new surprisingly). i will definitely be making changes...

Why do you need a Pista? This is fine and won't offer much difference in ride unless you really hate that Motobecane or something.
