sorry didn't mean to come off as sarcasm. im just statin plainly you must have alot to get all those good parts. i'm not knockin you at all cuz i would probably do the same as well if i did had the loot. if it makes you happy because you like it there is nothing wrong with it especially when its one of most economical ways of getting around. plus when you add it all up you still saved so much more $ than buying a car along with car insurance, gas, and maintanance needed. the internet makes it so hard to communicate sometimes.

The people i know with some of nicest bikes/expensive parts, belong to people making very little money, they just spend what they got on their bikes.

glad you mention it, i get flak/flack from non bike riders all the time about how expensive my bike must be. its not, i just built up part by part over the last year from scouring craigslist and knowing exactly what i wanted. a fellow commuter recently asked how much money ive sunk into the bike, the sum mentioned was around 6 or 7hun. he totally understood, a bike that is set up for commuting shouldnt be junk and it should be reliable.

wow what you said never occured to me but you are so right. It makes sense to have something that may be expensive but last a long time.
