Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I had some spare parts and hopped aboard the fixie craze. Most of the parts are from the late 50s, early 60s. More pics can be seen in C&V but I thought I would share here too.

Link to C&V tread https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/278837-olmo-finished-ride-report.html

Specs:
Olmo frameset
Cinelli adjustable stem
Cinelli #15 steel bars
Campagnolo Nuovo Record headset
Stronglight 55(?) pista crank, 46T
Magistroni bottom bracket
Atom pedals
Racelite flip-flop hubs
Mavic rear rim, 40H
Super Champion front rim, 32H
Servizio Corsa tires
Ideale 80 saddle
Chain and cog are cheapos from the LBS

cool bar/stem combo, the bike looks very classic (and vintage, heh) though those cranks scare me a little bit. may i recommend some clips and straps?

Steel clips and leather straps or nothing! Sweet ride.

Thanks. The clips that came with the pedals are too small and I stopped by the LBS on my ride today but they had nothing. Good thing though, riding a fixed gear is new to me and takes some skill, I probably would have eaten some gravel if I had clips today.

Cranks do look scary but they held up well, and I am not a skinny climber at 195.

New Bareknuckle

New 54cm Bareknuckle. Just got it together. So far, my daughter has spent more time on it than I have.
