Eric: Hoping to see you soon. Might come up for Tim's race. You should head down to St. Pete :).

Was thinking about it.... just depends on if I can get away. Spending a week or two in France w/ my fam as a grad gift and need to watch my spending. Also graduating so lots to do before then. But we will see.

Def come up for any races and holler at the folks on Tallycat if you do.

Thats amazing you are going to France. So awesome. Congratulations on graduating as well. I'm sure it is very exciting for you man.

I'll totally leave some shout outs if I am coming. I really need to see everyone again... it is killing me not to.

Why are you thinking of ditching the B72 - just not comfortable? That's always been one of my favourite Brooks saddles.

i might just not know how to set it up, b/c i have never used a wide saddle before, but i realized i don't like the feeling of it unter my ass bones. it's also really uncomfortable if it is anywhere near high enough for me to have full leg extension. my other ride has an slr on it and basically it only contacts your body in the goochal area. i find it pretty comfortable if it's set up right, but with the way the streets are near me, you take a real pounding and after being on it a while you get sore. i thought the b72 would be better, but it so far it's just caused other problems. if it doesn't work out, i'll prolly just get a b17. anything specific i should know about setting it up?

huh. i have a set i got off an old mystery frame i bought for parts. and the matching crystemblue stem. stickers removed, you can see them beginning to peel in doshkel's photo. see the trade thread.

i thought they were funky bars when i first got them, so i did some searching. i came across this road bike, which i like a lot.

DoshKel 04-07-07 10:38 PM

Oh man. WOW. That bike is so nice. The stem looks a lot steeper than mine though. Is yours that steep?

alk 04-07-07 10:43 PM

steep? yeah, the angle looks about the same. mine's got a shorter stem length though.

humancongereel 04-07-07 10:44 PM

;man, **** those bars....i love horns, but god....you want the flats sometimes.

DoshKel 04-07-07 10:44 PM

Might just be the picture angle I guess.

it looks like you could get most of your hand on there, but you'd have to bend your pinky out sort of weird...i dunno. maybe not.

besides that, they look nice, but if your hand positions are limited, that's no good. maybe it is the angle, though...

yellowjeep 04-08-07 01:27 PM

how many bikes is this made out of ?

diff_lock2 04-08-07 02:45 PM

Oh no sorry I was referring to the picture in which I said the stem looks steeper than mine. You are right about the hand positions being limited. I just took a long ride with them, and I only feel comfortable in the drops. If I put some hoods on them though, they might work better.
