Thats the idea. I've still got to change out a few bits and work up the balls to take it to the track.

Thanks for the comments on my Bianchi guys. Not even close to being done, but when it will be, i'm going to be the happiest man in the world.

The stem is a Nitto Crystemblue. Pretty rare I believe. Yup... its removable faceplate.

Ceya 04-07-07 03:56 AM

Yeah rare now. I had 8 of them bad babies. Just don't overtighten the bolts.

One of the first Ive seen in the late 80s with removable face plate.

I was just talking about that stem Wednesday.

CEYA!

new everyday commuter...

loving it to death already, though i may switch the saddle out. it was an experiment that i think may have failed. looks classy tho.

edit: forgot to take a driveside pic earlier

That's basically the frame I'm looking to use on my commuter. I struck out with this Raleigh "Team Raleigh" gas pipe replica with a horribly slack seat tube angle and deceivingly long top tube. Oh well, back to eBay!

Awesome. Thanks a lot Ceya. I was wondering if it had any value to it. I also have Nitto ADB X bars or something like that. They look like areo drop bars. Do you have any information on these? I can get a picture of them if need be.

And I also found out the Nitto flip quill stems go for like $100? Holy ****. We had like 2 at our shop for like $20 heh. Should of grabbed those probably heh.

yea man cool as hell.

I rode mine to work to day for its maiden voyage it was fun and comfy and easy on my knee

which is killing me from high speed skids.

a little more slow and casual for me for a bit

from tscgod's flickr

i'm starting to like that i went with the mavics instead of these
that top is lookin awfully narrow

I'm really liking those bars.

killsurfcity 04-07-07 03:08 PM

thanks guys, glad you dig it. i'm super stoked it's finally built. it's really comfy and surprisingly agile for such a slacker frame. it oddly rides very much like a large bmx bike, which is okay in my book!

angle the nose of that brooks up a cm or two and you will be wayyyy happier guaranteed. keeps ur azz on the wide back part and helps it break in. and it does look classy. perfect candidate for the brooks!

estratton 04-07-07 04:31 PM

^^Word.

Those drops are hot.

DoshKel 04-07-07 04:33 PM

Yea they really are hot. Got 'em for zilch as well. Yay!

Eric: Hoping to see you soon. Might come up for Tim's race. You should head down to St. Pete :).

barba 04-07-07 04:37 PM

Have you ridden them yet? I agree that they are lookers, but I think I might miss the shoulders. Very cool, one way or the other.

DoshKel 04-07-07 04:39 PM

Nope. I have so many bars I haven't got to them. They are light as **** though. Might put them on my Concept.

Yea thats why I haven't put them on a bike yet. I ride on the shoulders pretty much all the time.

sashae 04-07-07 05:36 PM

Took a ride out to Far Rockaway today... the furthest out in NYC you can pretty much get. Really way too windy, but satisfying nonetheless...
