Ran out of bikes to work on and needed a beater to go play in the woods with so I threw this together. RePack inspired, this thing is indestructable. 24x16 gear ratio is perfect. 1.95's fit with some wiggle room. Can't wait to cover it in mud.

Not in the dirt.
Perfect ratio for hooking up in the mud.

My first SS/Fixed
I just got this mid-week and finally put pedals on it Thursday night. Took it to work Friday (20 mi) and did two (25+ mi) rides with it this weekend. Today was my first day flipping it to fixed. While it was tricky at first, once I got use to it I liked not having to use the hand brakes as much. It'll take some more adjustment, but I love the ride quality. Much smoother and comfortable than my roadie. The streets can be rough around metro-Boston. This is a series of pics: https://www.flickr.com/photos/8797446@N02/539328354/[/IMG]

Awesome! How did you get the decals off though, chrome is easy enough but on the gang green I didn't know you could.

It's not easy in the slightest. I did it the same way you do the chrome bikes except I used something slower acting than Jasco and I was very careful.

Yea I was really scared to do it and thought long and hard before deciding. In the end, Im glad I did. I think it really helps separate my bike from the many many Pistas out there.
As far as the brake, the sentence above can describe that decision as well. I dont care to argue that subject, but I can say for me that it has made me a much more aware rider. Its my own personal decision and Im fine with it.

The one decal on the pista that I really hate is the "100% chromoly etc" one. I have no idea why THAT's under the clearcoat.

Here's my Langster. It's all stock except for the pedals and the ITM stem. I ride it freewheel, and it's usage has gone far beyond the originally-intended commuting and playing around. Great bike and a lot of fun to ride.

Is that paintstripper to take off the stickers?? Wouldn't it eat through the green paint too??

Its a stripper called Citristrip, its pretty slow acting. It eats through the clear coat and softens the decal. The only time any paint was stripped was because I accidently scraped it off taking the decal and clear coat off. Those bumps and wrinkles look soft but theyre actually hard.

It was a liquid gel type substance. I left it on for about 20-30 minutes.
