1.2s are incredible rims; good choice.

deathhare 08-24-07 08:35 AM

The latest sex from Japan. Its quite a large frame. Kaisei 8630. Full chrome under the paint.

Im not sure what im gonna do with it yet but right now just touching it is nice. ;)

frealz. After I built a wheelset with the 1.1's I am swearing by DT Swiss rims (and Mavic).

bonechilling 08-24-07 08:42 AM

Wow, that's a great looking frame.

Does anyone know what deal is with Bridgestone/Anchor? Why are some Anchor and some just regular Bridgestone?

deathhare 08-24-07 08:44 AM

All the newest frames are Anchor now. I forget why.

dmotoguy 08-24-07 08:56 AM

piwonka 08-24-07 08:58 AM

Im not sure. I dont know how to read Bridgestone/Anchor serial numbers. Based on the excellent condition and the fact that it says Anchor on it, i think its pretty new.
Maybe someone knows how to read their numbers.

bonechilling 08-24-07 09:08 AM

How are you still getting frames from Japan? I thought you were living state-side, now.

Thru my yakuza ties. :D
Nah, i have in-laws and friends there. ;)

Just found out the frame was built in 2003.

1fluffhead 08-24-07 10:22 AM

WOW that Bridgestone is super fresh. Has it ever even been built up?

Yeah, but it appears to have been loved and cared for :) but has a couple of little scratches.

beatifik 08-24-07 10:35 AM

that bridgestone looks like a perfectly toasted marshmellow.

onetwentyeight 08-24-07 11:19 AM

sweet bike 128.

baxtefer 08-24-07 12:41 PM

how tall is she? and where did you find that frame?
got another one for my 4'10" GF?

onetwentyeight 08-24-07 12:48 PM

she chose it herself, ebay. 45cm square. i think shes actually a little too big for it (5'3" ish) but she insists shes comfortable. the saddle height looks right for her, and shes always out on the brake hoods so it works.

bonechilling 08-24-07 01:43 PM

That bike is great 128. Perfect conversion.

are those 700's?
yeah 45cm does sound a bit small for someone who's 5'3"

Yeah, but a frame lasts a lot longer than a pair of shorts.

yea... 700s. the frame slopes slightly upwards to accommodate them. she pretty much spends 100% of the time out on the hoods which puts her in a position she seems comfortable with. go figure. she obtained the frame on her own.

fetch 08-24-07 05:27 PM

that anchor... nothing more can be said!

except give it to me :D

jamey 08-24-07 06:26 PM

it seems like i find "the perfect frame" once a month on this forum and that bridgestone just become the frame for this month.
