you hear some bad advice like "oh your track bike feels too twitchy, well put a road fork on there and it will make it less track like, more road like."
so you install a road fork and accomplish the exact opposite of what you intended then go on about how great it rides and this and that. (and just so you know, if you like it then fine, that's all that matters as far as your ride).
but all these other guys that haven't been on here long are getting swayed in the wrong direction by reading bad advice. some people are just pointing out the errors in other people ideas.
another example is the bending of fork blades by jumping on them with a board or whatever it was so said person can do the barspinz.
but the fork would probably end up bent anyway or the frame destroyed because it sounds like the bike is gonna get ridden in a way it wasn't intended to be ridden. i guess in that case it doesn't really matter if the bike handles like **** or not.

back to your pista, i forget the actual head angle and rake are on the stock pista but you decreased your trail by a fair amount and that will make the bike more squirrelly.

the geometery on the pista imo is way to aggresive for the street
hold on... the pista was too "tracky" for the street so you ride your IRO on the street but with a rear disc???

My Tipo Uno

Thanks! Here is my Torelli Tipo Uno. I swapped out the stock Tipo Uno seat for a Brooks with matching saddle bag. Other than that, it is stock. Comments are welcome. I love the ride of this bike. Oh, I swapped out the tires for Michelin Pro Race 2s.

Thanks! I've not seen one in any of the threads. It rides real nice. I have a steel road bike so I'm partial to that type of ride. I'm still not into FG yet and the stock Shimano freewheel sucks. I'm going to upgrade to a WI Eno.

If it's on that torelli, you won't need a WI Eno due to the horizontal drops. I'd probably ride it until the Shimano freewheel wears out then go fixed on it or get an ACS Claws freewheel.

I think the WI Eno threads on just like the Shimano freewheel, no?

edit: I get it. I wasn't talking about a WI hub but the freewheel. The ACS would be an alternative though. Maybe by that time I'll go fixed. The hubs are Torelli's and they spin forever. I don't know who made them for Torelli but they are smooth as silk.

From experience I have found that Shimano freewheels are far better than ACS freewheels and really deliver some great performance at a very reasonable price.

Thanks for that, I appreciate it. I actually had to inject grease into the thing to quiet it down. It is not 100% quiet but 95% better than it was. If it doesn't fail, I'll save the money and live with it. I went through two of them and both made the same clunking noise before we greased one of them.

seconded. they run even better over time if you keep them in fresh grease, too.

concepts imho are just played out carbon copies of each other with zero style and the only thing that might set them apart is the stickers, although those are the same 99% of the time as well.
