Yeah, I understand but just thought since its soo small out there that you would know all of the very few things there are to do out there. Thats all besides the point though, why are you still posting!?!? You've got some catching up to do. You should be out on the track training so you can crush people this up coming track season, lol.
I would love to live that close to a track, but I like Kenosha more.

im still posting cause goddamn UW-Madison has finals until today, 1 hour from now to be exact. Im stalking BF because i dont want to cram anymore.
Plus once I get back to NB i have to wait for my Kilo TT to arrive, since my Mark V got stolen a week ago.
But once i grab the kilo, swap the saddle, bars, tires and clips, im all over that.....
P.S. Ive been to Washington Park Velo in kenosha. Just to watch though, didnt bring my ride up there.

Im sorry about the stolen bike man, Ive been there and now Im the most paranoid person ever about my bike. When you get back you should check out the track, maybe even do some laps if you're up for it. Its a good time but not as fun as Kenosha (a shorter, steeper track).
Good luck on those finals
ps - that avatar is classic

Who won the first race? I kind of want to bet on the kid with the drop outs, but then again his wheels are smaller and the other kids look older.

I'm betting on the kid in the foreground with the trek, just cause it looks like he's the only one with slicks.

if u guys really want more avatar material, i got loads more (i know they are kids and are just having fun, but cant we just be *******s anyways?)
Im UBER jealous of how much money this kid has to spend on cycling. He even gotz the socks....

I think I saw another kid riding a CF Felt......why not spend that $ on candy???

think of it this way. you have to worry about less things, without pedaling and you have no crutch to lean on.

yes they are like-a-bike. but they are far from point less. the way the they are set up it improves the sense of balance so you dont have to rely on training wheels, which only act as a crutch and make bike handling skills worse. europian countries use them alot. with training wheels kida rock back and forth on the training wheels to they arent actually balanced only leaned over to one side or the other. with this if you can walk or run balancing comes faster and more naturally.

I am sure I am not the only one who thinks that this logic is flawed.

It is not flawed, it works quite well. My 5 year old was having a hard time till I took the cranks and training wheels off her bike for a couple of weeks. When I put the pedals back on she was a pro. Another common way to teach kids to ride a bike is to send them down a grassy hill. The learn much easier without having to worry about pedaling and getting hurt. (the same obstacles that are overcome on a bike without pedals)

I learned with just one training wheel. It's just a safety net, but you still have to balance, unless you want to go in little tiny circles.

My parents just set me up on a bike and said 'ride'. I fell a lot and was really getting annoyed, but eventually it all caught on.
Training wheels work well to give the child an idea of how a bike works, but I don't see them as a real solution for more than 2 days.

My brother has been wearing the same batman cape-mask combo for the last 4 years. So awesome.

One week without pedals and her balance switch got flicked on. The next day she was doing figure eights around the tether ball posts at the playground. In my experience training wheels create more problems than they solve.
