no. we're actually moving into a new place next month though; going to buy one then.
not as big (closer to 40 ft x 45 ft loft), but has hardwood floors and a patio with shared courtyard access.
i hate not having one though. it's a wonder how much i'll spend on bikes while putting off spending $600 on a used washer/dryer...

they are great bags. i've been using them for years.
i ran an Army, Navy store for 10 years. The surplus Euro ones were ok, but i always got the new cordura U.S printed ones. they never smelled, and were pretty water resistant. never used one on a bike, but i used it for laundry, clothing to and from college. moving a few times. great and durable. still have 3 of them laying around.

Non-waterproof is actually a huge problem for me. I once used an I Goldberg rucksack in the rain on a bike commute from Temple to the burbs. When I got home the green dye in the bag penetrated any white parts of my clothes and it ruined them.

I got a bag like this:
a while ago for laundry and trips and whatnot, but now I wish I had gotten one with backpack straps.
By the way, does anyone have dibs on your place?

Man, you could put a lot of laundry/stuff in that army duffle bag!!! I used to have an old huge backpack with some kind of very sturdy aluminum frame. I carried my laundry in that backpack on my bicycle for years. Also used the backpack for grocery shopping. Worked just fine.
I have a bad back now, so I'll be riding backpack free. Picking up my new Surly Long Haul Trucker this morning, with the Ortlieb Bike Packer Plus and Front Roller Plus, along with the extra outer pockets for all four panniers.
I should have plenty of space for groceries, and if necessary laundry.

if anyone needs/wants some army bags i can get them and ship them out for you. the sister store of the army navy i use to run is still open. It's called Keefer's Army and Navy. it's in Kingston PA, about 10 miles south of Scranton (where i live and use to work at the old store). I now work a few miles down the road from Keefers and work there in the winter and an occasional weekend here and there. The catalog we order from is called Rothco, they have a web site. you can get some ideas for different bags.
oh and cal qundert, that sea bag is the same thing as the double strap bag. they are both top loading sea bags. the only difference being the strap. and the single strap sea bags come in more sizes, or at least avaialbel to us they did.

My old lady and i were doing some shopping when we found the best thing in the world-- laundry bags.
Specifically, czech republic land force (army) laundry duffel bags.
MASSIVE, durable, and cheap. Got them at our local army surplus store (for you phila cats, i goldberg) for 12 buxos each.
TONS of room in these things. Perfect for quick sprints to the laundromat and hopefully lots more:
really impressed by the durability... they feel bomb-proof.
check out your local army/navy/military surplus/etc stores for stuff like this. lots of big durable things meant to carry in battle, which typically means on your back, which translates nicely to cycling.

I ran that store for years! haha. chances are if you were in Quint's i sold you something! kid with lip ring an lots of tattoos? i haven't been at the Keefer's in about a month, but the new cordura ones (water resistant and don't smell like mothballs) were around 15-20$. if you head up this way, i can get you one for like $10). they use to be $12 new, but i know the cost has gone up due to the ****ty economy. we haven't gotten surplus ones in a while because they were pretty beat and you would always get one that smelled terrible, so they stunk up the rest. The shipping company would throw in a million mothballs to try and kill the smell. that combined with a building that was over 100 years old. i always got new ones.

I got that same one! But it wouldn't hold the bullets for my M16 assault rifle, so I had to return it to get a bigger one. But it is absolutely PERFECT for carrying around a small grenade or 2 during errands at the grocery store and such!

That would totally hold M16 rounds.
