something off a stock road bike. i have a set of allez pedals on my bike now. half plastic and half metal, plastic clips and nylon straps. lighter than the mks tracks, alloy clips, and leather straps, plus i don't feel bad if i clip the edges when turning to hard.
they can usually be had for free or very little money at your LBS, mine are off my own allez but i have a couple other pairs of brand new ones laying around i got from guys who installed clipless pedals when they bought their bikes.

mks gr-9s, with mks clips and campy nylon straps.
seriously the best nylon straps ever. if you're into it.
oh, i'm getting the new soma doubles sometime soon, too. so that might be my new fave.

I still run the cheapest ****tiest Wellgo SPD knockoffs that are currently made and have absolutely no problems with them. The last pair I bought was 6 bucks brand new.
