How about Portland Cyclewear? Merino wool long- and short-sleeve jerseys, as well as 3/4 pants. I've never used their stuff, but it's supposedly pretty good, and they appear to have a system in place for discounts on large orders already.

Golden Skeletons, I think it's highly unlikely that we'll get enough people on board to make a $400 carbon track wheelset a possibility. People are *****ing and moaning at the mere mention of high-priced components and frames, so that shows the level of interest in anything other than wildly unrealistic things and $150 budget frames is pretty low.

Since I already own a carbon disc and two tri-spokes, there's really not much incentive for me to work this angle - I don't need cheap track wheels. I was interested in a low-cost Ti or CF track frame, but since that's not a possiblity, then I'm stepping back and not trying to organize anything further.

This company is right up the street from me. Nice guys. Let me know if a Pista Concept alternative is to your taste.

I rode one. Super nice, sturdy...not cheap tinfoil like other alu "race once" frames.

There can and will be more than one BFSSFG Group Buy for 2008.

C'mon guys, think outside the box. Poll will be up after I've had feedback from you and a chat with the company bosses.

Cheers.

I'd be into a GB for a Blue frame. I've ridden one, and they're pretty sick!

Looks wack in pictures, looks cool and futuristic in person. Frame, fork and carbon seatpost retails for $750.00.

I'll call them tommorow. If they can swing the deal, I'll start a poll.

They are really cool dudes with a laid back attitude. Let's hope for the best, shall we?

Pedal Force is doing a group buy with Road Cycling for a CF road frame but they have a TT frame with horizontal dropouts. Maybe this can be done without braze ons.

if knickers came in my size, 38, I'd buy several pairs of portlands. I'd be down for wigs, at least they make them in my size.

helmets? locks? what else would people buy?

it seems that a wheelset would be real popular, but with shipping, and the fact that I'd have to bring them to my lbs for tension and true, I don't think that I'd be saving any money.

No.

I'll start an informal survey poll, with some framework to get this thing under control.

I also wouldn't mind a nice set of cranks, but I don't know where we'd go for that.

After talking to several smaller manufatures, it seems to be cost prohibitve to take such a large and complicated order.

Blue, IRO, etc. mass produce frames. This is easier for all parties involved, especially when sizing and shipping is concerned.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but how about the Milwaukee cream city frame?

It looks like a great product and Ben's/Waterford are companies that I wouldn't mind supporting...
